Issue #1 of Faesthetic was published in 2001 as a response to the rise of PDF zines and my desire to create something more tangible. It also created a great opportunity to reach out to designers and artists I admired.
There was no theme for the first issue, and it was created on the Xerox machine at work when no one was looking. I only made 100 copies and put them up on faesthetic.com with a $5 PayPal link. Much to my surprise they sold out quickly.
Issue #1 showcases 56 pages of original art from 15 artists. Featuring low-quality photocopy printing with a logo by Mike Giant!
