There are many zines, but only one Faesthetic. Created by creatives for creatives, Faesthetic stands for “The Fast Aesthetic” – a snapshot of a creative moment. Inspired by my childhood discovery of my dad’s ‘60s anti-war and psychedelic comic collection, I’ve always been drawn to creating time capsules of creativity.
What began as a college capstone project in 2000 and officially launched in 2001, Faesthetic is a platform showcasing new art and creativity, from graffiti to photography and illustration, blending traditional and modern expression.
Evolving from a photocopied zine into a high-quality arts platform with international contributors, Faesthetic challenges artists with compelling themes and limited color palettes to produce unexpected results.
As a curator, I pair artists with different styles to find connections that create community and inspire dialogue From renowned names like Mark Mothersbaugh, SWOON, Shepard Fairey, Maya Hayuk, FAILE, and Futura 2000, to emerging global talent, I’ve worked with hundreds of artists over 25 years. Originally available worldwide in boutiques like Colette in Paris and Quimby’s in Chicago, Faesthetic back issues are now available online, with new issues released in limited editions.
Think Faest!
